“De Locos Tapas” high-end tapas from Ronda

Before going to any new place I always check www.tripadvisor.com for some reviews, places to visit, things to do and of course top restaurants. Before going to Ronda I did just the same thing and I found “De Locos Tapas” on the first place. For those who don’t know what “Tapas” mean, it is a typical Andalusian style of eating consisting of many small portions of different foods. The idea is to share food and try different things.

De Locos Tapas

So after seeing all those amazing reviews of this Tapas bar we headed right there for lunch. To get a table we had to wait about 15 minutes due to its small size with only 5 tables and no terrace outside at the time of our visit, which was surprising since the majority of bars I know have terrace and people prefer to stay outside. But it didn’t really matter. Atmosphere inside was great just because of the small size and few people eating all that great looking food. A menu was a bit confusing even for my Spanish friends, but the owner explained all perfectly and recommend the best stuff.

Bacon

I have tried countless Tapas in all over the Spain, but these Tapas were one of the best and definitely very different with the best presentation. Bar goes by saying: Better quality, less quantity, so don’t expect to ask for 2 or 3 tapas per person and leave with full stomach. But it’s worth paying more for such Tapas in quality of expensive restaurants and still for a good price. Bar features various Tapas from all over the Spain, not just typical Andalusian Tapas, which is a good thing. At total we tried about 9 different Tapas all with perfect presentation and delicious just like in high class dining.

Tasty burger

No wonder this bar is No. 1 in Ronda on Tripadvisor. It has an outstanding cuisine, friendly staff, amazing presentation of tapas and just great taste of everything we tried.
